LF's OOFOS Sponsors 2026 Pink Run, Outfitting All 5,000 Runners

OOFOS, the U.S. recovery footwear brand that lifestyle company LF began distributing in Korea this January, served as official sponsor of the '2026 Pink Run,' held on the 11th at Peace Square in World Cup Park, Sangam, Seoul. It marks the first time OOFOS has sponsored a sports event in Korea. Through the sponsorship, the brand cheered on the recovery of breast cancer patients in Korea while setting up a recovery shoe experience booth on site to highlight for marathon participants the importance of physical recovery after exercise.

Now in its 26th year, the Pink Run is a marathon event dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness and promoting prevention. All participant registration fees are donated to the Korea Breast Health Foundation and used to support breast cancer patients and fund breast cancer prevention education. OOFOS said it joined as an official sponsor because it shares the Pink Run's mission of raising awareness of breast health and creating a positive social impact.

The sponsorship also carries forward OOFOS's global breast cancer research and patient support campaign, 'Project Pink,' in Korea. Project Pink traces its origins to Duncan Finigan, an OOFOS founding member and former marketing director, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 and left behind the message: "I hope OOFOS becomes a brand that restores people's bodies and minds."

OOFOS headquarters launched Project Pink in 2015 and has since continued its work supporting breast cancer research and helping patients restore their quality of life. Each year, the company has donated a portion of its proceeds to institutions including the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, with cumulative donations to date reaching approximately $7 million (about 9.4 billion won).

The 'recovery' OOFOS champions is a concept that encompasses both 'Physical Recovery,' aimed at relieving bodily fatigue, and 'Emotional Recovery,' which supports the social and emotional recovery of patients and members of the community. At this event as well, the brand focused on delivering both messages together: recovery for participants' bodies after the marathon, and support for patients.

At the on-site booth, participants tried on recovery shoes made with OOFOS's proprietary OOFOAM™ material and experienced the fit firsthand. According to LF, the booth drew a large crowd, with long lines forming, and the prepared giveaways ran out early. OOFOS provided OOFOS performance T-shirts to all 5,000 Pink Run participants and supplied event prizes including full-size OOFOS shoes, sports towels, bandanas and reusable gym bags.

Founded in Massachusetts in 2010, OOFOS is a specialist recovery footwear brand offering functional shoes that help feet recover before and after exercise. The company explains that its OOFOAM material and ergonomic footbed design focus on absorbing impact on the feet and easing strain on joints and muscles. Pursuing a 'recovery lifestyle' that proposes recovery as a habit in daily life and after sports activities, the brand offers a range of styles including slippers, flip-flops, slides and clogs.

"It was a truly meaningful occasion, as the Pink Run allowed us to cheer on the recovery of breast cancer patients while also sharing with participants the importance of caring for their bodies after exercise," an OOFOS representative said. "As a 'recovery lifestyle' brand that promotes healthy recovery in everyday life, we will continue a wide range of activities going forward."
