The Barnnet Teams Up With LeSportsac on Four-Piece Velvet Collection, Rolling Out in Korea Before Japan Launch in November

Feminine heritage casual brand The Barnnet has unveiled a collaboration collection with global bag brand LeSportsac. The collection takes a signature product from the Korean brand as its starting point and pairs it with the practicality of a global bag label, with distribution expanding in stages from Korea to the Japanese market.

The starting point for the collection is The Barnnet's best-selling velvet backpack. According to the company, the collection harmoniously blends the classic, vintage mood of the original velvet backpack with LeSportsac's signature practicality. The material has also been reworked. A new polyester fabric was developed to achieve a soft, velvet-like texture and a subtle sheen, which the company says delivers a lighter, more comfortable feel and greater everyday versatility. The approach preserves the look and feel of velvet while capturing the benefits of lightweight polyester in actual use.

The collaboration comprises four pieces: a backpack, a mini backpack, a mini duffel bag and a heart mini pouch. Crafted in a black velvet-poly fabric with a subtle sheen, the bags feature flap designs, drawstrings and metal buckle closures for a look that is both classic and refined. Multiple storage compartments and practical details have been added, and each style is differentiated in size and shape so consumers can choose according to their taste and needs.

The mini duffel bag stands out for its compact size and cylindrical silhouette. It opens and closes easily with a zip fastening, and the zipper is finished with LeSportsac's signature logo tape trim, underscoring the collaboration's identity. Also on offer is a keyring-style heart mini pouch with a detachable strap that allows for a variety of uses.

Sales will draw on both companies' retail networks. Starting Oct. 30, The Barnnet x LeSportsac collection will be available at The Barnnet's flagship store and official online store, Musinsa and 29CM, as well as LeSportsac's Apgujeong and Shinsegae Centum City stores and the LeSportsac official online store.

In Japan, the collection will roll out in phases. Following an early release at the LeSportsac store in Lumine Shinjuku on Nov. 12, it will go on sale through LeSportsac's retail network across Japan from Nov. 18.
