Decathlon Opens Pop-Up at Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch with Limited-Edition Gwangan Bridge Prints

Global sports brand DECATHLON will operate a pop-up store on the first basement level of Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch from Thursday, Oct. 15, through Wednesday, Oct. 28. Decathlon said the pop-up was designed to give customers in the Busan area the opportunity to experience the brand's sports products along with a variety of hands-on programs.

At the heart of the pop-up are limited-edition designs reflecting Busan's local character and programs built around customer participation. Decathlon is exclusively unveiling two 'BUSAN EXCLUSIVE PRINTING' designs inspired by Busan landmarks such as Gwangan Bridge. Visitors can select the apparel they want on site and have the design printed on the spot to create their own personalized item. However, printing availability depends on the material and type of product. Customers who purchase footwear on site will receive a Busan Exclusive cotton T-shirt as a gift.

A running program that brings Busan residents together will also be offered. During the pop-up period, Decathlon will host 'DecaRUNNERS,' a free running class led by coaches who formerly competed on the national team. Participants can sign up through Decathlon's official Instagram account. Special guests, including cast members of the reality show 'Steel Troops W,' as well as 'Dear' and Shim Jin-seok, will also take part to share the joy of running.

Perks for visitors have also been prepared. The first 200 visitors to the pop-up can purchase winter running and cold-weather gear at special discounted prices, including a seamless running beanie for KRW 4,900 and the 'Run Warm' thermal running headband for KRW 6,900. In addition, customers who follow Decathlon's official Instagram account and add its KakaoTalk Plus Friend channel, or who make a purchase on site, can join a random draw in which every entry wins a prize, such as a bag or a massage ball.

"We planned this pop-up at the Busan Main Branch so customers can create their own items and experience the joy of running together," a Decathlon Korea official said. "We will continue to introduce a variety of programs that let people experience Decathlon's sports expertise and brand energy firsthand."

The Decathlon pop-up store is located on the first basement level of Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch, with direct access to the B1 floor from Exit 7 of Seomyeon Station. Opening hours are 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
