The 2026 37th Daegu Collection, hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City and organized by the Daegu Gyeongbuk Fashion Business Cooperative (chairman Jeong Sun-sik), will run Oct. 21–23 at the Fashion Design Development Support Center. Alongside its runway shows, this year’s edition adds a range of side events that the public can join and enjoy firsthand, broadening its scope into a participatory fashion festival for local residents.
This year’s slogan is “FASHION, CONNECT DAEGU!” The organizers plan to position the event as a global fashion platform that uses fashion to connect people and the city, as well as industry and the future. To that end, the collection will be run in conjunction with a fashion exhibition where visitors can meet local brands in person, as well as a lifestyle flea market.
Throughout the event, the first floor of the Fashion Design Development Support Center will host the exhibition “Fashion to See, Enjoy and Buy.” Designed as a display and promotional space, it will allow visitors to try on and experience products developed by local fashion brands and designers. A total of eight regional brands will present a wide range of products, giving visitors a chance to experience the quality and trends of Daegu fashion in one place. A key feature is that the exhibition goes beyond simply viewing the collections shown on the runway, creating a touchpoint that turns interest in local brands into try-ons and purchases.

Meanwhile, the FXCO MALL plaza will host the “2026 FXCO Autumn Lifestyle Week,” organized by Daegu Technopark. The flea market, running for the duration of the event, will feature about 20 vendor booths offering a variety of products and content spanning fashion accessories, upcycled and eco-friendly goods, and lifestyle and beauty items.
The main program of runway shows will feature designers from Korea and abroad. On opening day, Wednesday, Oct. 21, Esterlobe will kick things off with the opening show at 1:30 p.m., followed by Seoul-based guest brand TROA at 3:30 p.m. and Idonism at 5:30 p.m. On day two, Thursday, Oct. 22, Italian guest designer Ludovica Gualtieri Milano will present at 1:30 p.m., followed by Sangmin at 3:30 p.m. and Poum at 5:30 p.m.
On the final day, Friday, Oct. 23, Choi Bok-ho will show at 1:30 p.m. and Young Generation at 3:30 p.m., with a special hanbok fashion show closing the event at 5:30 p.m. The lineup is set to showcase fashion content spanning tradition and modernity, with a total of nine collections presented across the designer shows and the special hanbok show.
The side events are designed as cultural programming that brings together not only Daegu Collection visitors but also fashion industry professionals and local residents. The organizers expect the multi-format event, combining runway viewing with shopping, hands-on experiences and cultural activities, to deliver a richer festival experience.
“This year’s Daegu Collection offers not only fashion shows but also a variety of side events that citizens can take part in and enjoy firsthand,” said Jeong Sun-sik, chairman of the Daegu Gyeongbuk Fashion Business Cooperative. “We will continue to develop it into a fashion culture festival that connects local fashion brands, citizens and the industry.”
